Date rape column angers AU students
American University students are demanding that a campus newspaper columnist be fired after publishing a column on Monday that called date rape "an incoherent concept," Campus Overload reports.
The column, written by Alex Knepper, a sophomore political science major, states that a woman who attends a fraternity party, drinks more than five glasses of alcohol and follows a guy to his room is indicating that she is willing to have sex and should not "cry date rape" the next morning.
Knepper and his editors are standing behind the column
