D.C. bed bug summit needs bigger venue
The D.C. Department of Health has had to move the location of its “Bed Bug Summit” to accommodate demand.
Department of Health spokeswoman Dena Iverson said Wednesday that the original room the department planned to hold the summit in would have accommodated 100 people, but the event is being moved to a room to accommodate 200. The summit will now be held on Jan. 20.
This is the second year the department has held the event, where experts talk about topics like bed bug biology as well as how to control the pests.
