D.C. Council honors slain intern
The D.C. Council has approved a resolution honoring Alonte Sutton, a council intern that was fatally shot in southeast Washington.
The 18-year-old senior at Ballou Senior High School, was found dead of multiple gunshot wounds in a wooded area earlier in May. A 28-year-old is charged with his murder.
Councilman Michael A. Brown (I-At Large) called him a “bright young man.”
