D.C. Health Dept. issues measles alert
The District Department of Health has issued an alert to residents and visitors about a potential measles exposure in some areas of the city between Feb. 20-22.
Officials list the following locations as possible sites for exposure:
D1 or D6 bus heading east from Georgetown on Feb. 21, between 10:30 a.m. -- 2:30 p.m.
S2 or S4 bus heading south from Columbia Heights on Feb. 21, between 1:30 -- 5:30 p.m.
Potbelly’s Sandwich Shop, 1400 Irving Street, NW, on Feb. 21, between 11 a.m. -- 5 p.m.
This is the same case of measles that the Virginia health authorities announced earlier. Loudoun County health officials said people who were in the International Arrivals and Baggage Claim at Dulles International Airport on Feb. 20 may have been exposed to measles.
