D.C. summer jobs program booked

By Washington Post editors

D.C.'s summer jobs program for city youth is booked, Mike DeBonis reports over at his blog.

By mid day, 12,000 city youth had applied for summer jobs, reaching the cap on this year's program set by Mayor Vincent C. Gray.

City officials are still encouraging kids to apply, however, since all applicants still have to be screened and some are likely to be excluded.
