District street sweeping has resumed
The D.C. Wire reminds us that it's springtime, so get ready for the hum of street sweepers. And tickets.
The city's street sweeping program, which requires that vehicles be moved from roadways for designated times of cleaning, began Monday and continues through November.
Ticketing will not begin until next Monday.
Street sweepers equipped with cameras -- dubbed Sweepercams -- can capture the license plates of illegally parked vehicles. The fine is $30.
