Fenty friend delays testimony -- again

By Washington Post editors

The D.C. Wire is reporting that Sinclair Skinner, friend of Mayor Adrian M. Fenty (D) and owner of an engineering firm involved in the troubled parks and recreation contracts, still isn't quite ready to appear before the D.C. Council.

Superior Court Senior Judge Stephen F. Eilperin ordered Skinner to appear before the council March 24 to testify about the contracts. But he also said he could come up with his own date to make an appearance.

Council member Harry Thomas Jr. (D-Ward 5) said the committee and Skinner have agreed upon April 14 for the long-awaited testimony.

Wow. Had it been anybody else, a regular citizen not connected with King, um, Mayor Fenty, they would have been arrested and locked up.
