Red Line returns to normal
UPDATE:
Metro says it has reopened all tracks near Metro Center Station. Train service is returning to normal on the Red Line.

Delays continue on the Red Line
D.C. fire department spokesman Pete Piringer says a track insulator caught fire Friday morning and sent smoke through the tunnel, Get There reports.
Piringer says crews briefly evacuated the station as they worked to control the smoke.
No one was injured.
Metro says Red Line trains are sharing the same track between the Farragut North and Gallery Place stops.

Fire reported at Metro Center
Metro reports that trains are sharing the same track between Gallery Place and Farragut North due to a report of fire at Metro Center. Delays have been reported in both directions on the Red Line. Stay with Get There for more information.
