Going 'Metroloko' -- D.C.-area blogs

By Lori Aratani

Good afternoon. Talk about timely. All this talk about Four Loko, the caffeinated alcoholic beverage that's the current target of federal regulators has Unsuck DC Metro thinking about another kind of "Loko." Meanwhile, Park View, D.C. was pleasantly surprised by something he discovered during a recent home remodeling project (and really, how often do GOOD surprises happen during home remodeling projects?) It's the Thursday D.C.-area blog roundup.

From Greater Greater Washington -- a brief history of “Woodies” – the now defunct department store beloved by generations of Washingtonians.

You always read those amazing stories of folks who find priceless antiques in their attics or that million dollar Cezanne at the garage sale. This might not be worth a cool million, but here’s what Park View, D.C. uncovered during a recent home remodeling project.

The WashCycle offers this trifecta of posts on how to make three D.C.-areas more walkable and bikeable: D.C. proper, Hyattsville and East Falls Church.

From ‘Livin’ La Vida Loca’ to Four Loko to ‘Metroloko” Unsuck DC Metro explains how to know if you’ve got the symptoms.

C’mon you know you want to know. Wedding registries of famous D.C. couples via the Bridal Party blog.

That's it for now. Thanks for reading and have a great rest of the afternoon. I'll be back tomorrow with more intriguing posts from the D.C.-area blogsphere.
