Gas leak in SE D.C.

Several buildings in the 2600 block of Douglas Road SE were evacuated early Thursday morning after a trash vehicle hit a gas meter, D.C. Fire and EMS report.

Firefighters have shut off gas in the area. The evacuations are said to be precautionary.
