GWU to launch online high school

George Washington University is launching an online college preparatory high school that will be run by Herndon-based K12 Inc., The Washington Business Journal reports.

The private school, which will offer admission to students in the U.S. and abroad, will be called the George Washington University Online High School. Classes are expected to begin this month. Official say students who enroll will have access to K12's curriculum of over 100 high school courses, honors and AP classes, and a variety of electives.
