Man found shot in NE D.C.
A man who had been shot and wounded was found yesterday afternoon in Northeast Washington about a block from the MARC commuter rail tracks.
The man was found about 4 p.m. in the 2900 block of South Dakota Avenue, a largely residential neighborhood. It is near the overpass that carries the avenue over the tracks that run between Union Station and Baltimore.
It was not immediately known whether the man had been shot there or left there after being shot elsewhere. Authorities said he was conscious and breathing when found.
