By Erica Johnston

D.C. police are investigating the death of a man found with apparent stab wounds Thursday inside of a Southeast Washington apartment, officials said.

Police arrived at a third-floor apartment in the 1600 block of V Street about 2:30 p.m, and found a man in his late 30s, said Cmdr. Joel Maupin, of the 7th District.

The man was found with apparent cuts or stab wounds to the body. Police are investigating the case as a homicide, said Officer Paul Metcalf. The man was not identified.
