Man shot dead in Northeast D.C.

District police are investigating the shooting death of a man in Northeast Washington early Monday.

Officers found the body of Derrick Garrison, 46, of Northeast, in the 200 block of 51st Street NE at about 9 a.m.

Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.

While I mildly share your sentiment, some things are better left unsaid.

I assure you that the family of Derrick Garrison does not consider his murder "just another day." A little compassion goes a long way, kglkgl06. Enjoy your day!

Don't worry; the killer or killers are required to have registered their guns per the DC Council's order.

Lincoln Heights at it again. Even with a police presence in these Public Housing areas, there is a high probability for crime to occur. And in broad daylight too. So sad.

Let me guess on the description of the suspect(s)...black male in his late teens or early 20's, wearing baggy jeans and a baseball hat backwards or sideways?

BigDaddy651, you should really check your fashion sources. baggy jeans are out and skinny jeans are the new thing.
