Man shot in SE Washington
A man was shot and wounded in southeast Washington shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday, D.C. police said.
A police spokesman said the shooting occurred in the 800 block of Yuma Street.
The circumstances were not known immediately. The site is near a recreation center and a school in the Washington Highlands neighborhood.
The spokesman said the man was conscious and breathing.
