Man shot, wounded in Southeast D.C.
An unidentified man was shot and seriously wounded Tuesday evening in Southeast Washington, D.C. police said.
The shooting apparently occurred around 6th and Chesapeake Streets SE. Officers were sent there after gunfire was heard, police said.
Shortly afterword officers were sent to the United Medical Center in Southeast, where a man had arrived with gunshot wounds in t he upper body, police said.
They said the man had arrived in a private vehicle. He was seriously wounded, but was expected to survive, police said.
