March for Life expected to crowd trains
The Maryland Transit Administration says commuters should expect crowded trains on Monday because of the March for Life rally in Washington.
The MTA says MARC and Metrorail are expecting significantly larger crowds than usual and MARC is increasing capacity, but commuters should give themselves more time.
Metropolitan Police, meanwhile, say several streets will be closed, including 7th St. NW from the Verizon Center to the National Mall at about 11 a.m. for a march from the arena to the National Mall. A march is also planned from the mall to the Supreme Court beginning about 1:30 p.m. heading north on 4th St., east on Constitution Ave. and south on 1st St.
