Decision time for D.C. Council chair -- next week

By Washington Post editors

District Council Chairman Vincent C. Gray (D) said he will decide next week whether to give up his post for a run against Mayor Adrian M. Fenty, the D.C. Wire reports.

Gray made his comments Thursday on WPFW-FM.

In an interview with D.C. Wire Wednesday, Gray said he and millionaire developer R. Donahue Peebles, another potential candidate, were in discussions about who should be the main challenger to Fenty.

He said he plans to have more discussions with Peebles over the weekend.
