NYC's Mayor Bloomberg to endorse Fenty
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is scheduled to endorse Mayor Adrian M. Fenty in his reelection bid Tuesday at a news conference at Carmine's, the D.C. Wire reports.
Bloomberg, a Democrat turned Republican turned independent, has been a major influence on Fenty and his administration. When Fenty ran for election in 2006, he visited Bloomberg and other big-city mayors. After he was elected, he tapped Bloomberg and his administration to develop his plan for a mayoral takeover of the city's public school system.
