Parking fees could rise in D.C.

Under D.C Mayor Adrian M. Fenty's proposed budget, the city would increase parking meter rates and residential parking permit fees, the D.C. Wire is reporting.
Applications for residential parking permits would increase from $15 to $25.
Parking meter rates in some areas would also increase, from 75 cents to $1 an hour.
Fenty is presenting his budget Thursday morning.
