Summit to close Metro stop
Metro will close the Mount Vernon Square/7th St-Convention Center rail station April 11-14 because of security concerns surrounding the upcoming international Nuclear Security Summit at the Washington Convention Center.
Trains will be able to pass through the station, but passengers will not be allowed access to the station.
Metro will close the station at 9 p.m. Sunday, April 11, and will not reopen it until 5 a.m. Wednesday, April 14.
Several streets around the convention center also will be closed during the summit. Parking will be limited in some areas. Some bus routes and MetroAccess also will be affected.
