Report: Bus driver assaulted woman
A Metro bus driver was sentenced Thursday to 6 months in a halfway house after being convicted of pushing a woman who had spit on him for failing to pick her up, Fox station WTTG is reporting.
Christie Jones was waiting at the Brookland Metro Station on June 23, 2009 when the bus began exiting the station without stopping at her shelter, according to documents and testimony cited by the station. Jones approached the bus as it halted at a crosswalk and spat in the face of driver Terrance Clark.
Clark then exited the bus and chased the woman. Prosecutors say Clark caught up with Jones at the top of a staircase and pushed her down the stairs, breaking one of her legs, the report said.
Clark claimed the woman tripped.

I think she should be charged for assault with a deadly weapon.
