White House journalist Helen Thomas has been dropped by her speaking agency after a video surfaced of her saying Israel should "get the hell out of Palestine" and go to places including Poland, Germany and the United States.

Diane Nine, president of Nine Speakers, sent the following statement to CQ Politics:

"It is with a heavy heart that Nine Speakers, Inc. announces its resignation as the agent for Helen Thomas, Dean of the White House Press Corps. Ms. Thomas has had an esteemed career as a journalist, and she has been a trailblazer for women, helping others in her profession, and beyond. However, in light of recent events, Nine Speakers is no longer able to represent Ms. Thomas, nor can we condone her comments on the Middle East. Nine Speakers will continue to enthusiastically represent all of our other current and future clients."

On Sunday, Thomas agreed not to appear as commencement speaker at Bethesda’s Walt Whitman High School after objections to her appearance were raised.

The old bigot should just retire. She's an embarrassment to herself and other journalists.

Don't have an opinion in this country. You'll find yourself lynched. Free speech as long as you agree with me.

Free speech doesn't mean there are no repercussions for expressing your opinions. It means you have the right to express yourself in speech and in print. Other people have the right to be disgusted, outraged and to not patronize your services. It's funny how frequently people don't understand either side of that equation.

a Liberal spewing RACISM!...oh no...hurry liberal trash...flip thru the excuse book and find referance to another 'diversion' tactic to take the light off the fact your liberals are hypocritical koolaid drinkers.

I mean really she just said something that a lot of people would love to say, so give her a break.

This old left wing hack has finally gotten what she deserves. She spent her entire life lying about facts and making people lives miserable. Whatever comes her way is not enough. She is typical of the left when they show there true colors and are scolded they have no shame.

Nine Speakers can't handle the truth? Why shouldn't Israel get out of Palestine? The occupation is an apartheid.

No right comes completely without responsibility. Put a female worth looking at there who does not feel she is part of the furniture. I never heard of her and could only care less if - well I couldn't. Seems retire is a new way to say got fired in a politically correct way. SEC lawyer caught surfing Google for porn gets to retire? Wrinkly old Nazi reveals herself and gets to retire. It might help her book sales?

David Dinkins, then a sitting mayor of NYC was told by his demonstrating police officers to go back home (Africa). Giuliani, a speaker at the rally did not condemn the taunts and there was no clamor for heads to roll. Under the guise of academia, social commentators have continuously and systematically advocated the exclusion of data on blacks when measuring quality of life of Americans. Factors like infant mortality, access to health delivery, academic disparities, life expectancy, employments rates, incarceration etc in so far as they impacted blacks disproportionately were to be excluded. Blacks were to be called the underclass. This reasoning has been championed by our heretofore-persecuted minorities with no hint of irony. A people’s socio-economic condition occasioned by policies and structural inequalities is not seen as an opportunity to redress past wrongs but as justification for collective condemnation and punishment. The blacks are poorly educated because they cant achieve, they are poor because they are lazy...Its all genetic! Until we discover that all excluded groups (and sub-groups) exhibit certain basic behavioral patterns. The ghettos of Europe were not filled with blacks. The high achieving Italian Americans of today were the ethnics of yesteryears, who had to resort to gangster-ism, ditto for the Irish and the Greeks. We are so hypocritical when we elevate some people to the status of super-humandom where sanctioning the basest of bigotry for others. Oh! Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.
