Shooting in Oxon Hill
Update, 11:21 p.m.:
A man was grazed in the face by a gunshot Wednesday night as he was carjacked in Oxon Hill, Prince George's County police said.
Authorities said two suspects approached the man's car on foot and opened fire in the 1100 block of Kennebec Street about 9:45 p.m.
Police were looking for the stolen vehicle, a 2006 blue Chevy Cobalt with Virginia license plates of JWU-7611, said Cpl. Erica Johnson, a spokeswoman.
Earlier:
Prince George's County police are investigating a shooting in Oxon Hill Wednesday night that may have taken place during a carjacking, officials said.
Corporal Erica Johnson, a police spokeswoman, said police who were called to the 1100 block of Kennebec Street about 9:45 p.m. found a shooting victim there.
An ambulance crew was evaluating the victim at the scene, but officials did not immediately know the victim's condition, age or gender.

Why do people not check out their surrondings before they get out of the car? Esepcially around Oxon Hill, Landover, Seat Pleasant, New Carrollton and Temple Hills (I smell a common theme)? You make yourself a target when you do not check out what's going on before you exit the car.
