Summit will halt some D.C. mail delivery

The Nuclear Security Summit coming to the District Monday has led the U.S. Postal Service to close one post office, remove several mailboxes and stop delivery on certain streets beginning at 7 p.m. Friday through Tuesday, April 13.

The Tech World Post Office at 800 K Street NW will be closed Monday, April 12 and Tuesday, April 13. Limited deliveries will be made to zip codes 20001, 20004, 20005 on Monday and Tuesday. Customers can pick up their mail from the main office at 900 Brentwood Road, NE between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

No deliveries will be made to 6th and I streets NW through 6th and O streets NW, as well as 10th St. NW and New York Avenue and 10th and O streets NW.

No collections or deliveries will be made to:
800 6th St. NW; 900 7th St. NW; 901 New York Ave. NW; 1003 K St. NW; 810 7th St. NW; 1424 K St. NW; 1200 K St. NW; 1201 New York Ave. NW; 775 12th St. NW; 1300 New York Ave. NW; 1200 New York Ave. NW; 1212 New York Ave. NW; 1221 M St. NW; 1330 Massachusetts Ave. NW

Full delivery will resume Wednesday, April 14.

Mailboxes will be removed from: 1100 H St. NW; 901 L St. NW; 1017 M St. NW; 1343 L St. NW; 1298 O St. NW; 1400 I St. NW; 1000 6th St. NW; 899 K St. NW; 1101 L St. NW; 1250 I St. NW; 1101 13th St. NW; 701 13th St. NW; 699 H St. NW; 698 K St. NW; 1115 12th St. NW; 999 13th St. NW; 1501 K St. NW; 1100 H St. NW
