Taft Bridge closed for investigation
A D.C. police spokeswoman said officers were at the scene of an incident in which a person may have jumped from the Taft Bridge, which carries Connecticut Avenue over Rock Creek Park, in Northwest D.C.
Taft Bridge is closed to pedestrian traffic, the District Department of Transportation reports, and Beach Drive is closed from Calvert Street to Shoreham Drive because of police activity.
