Teen charged in fatal D.C. shooting
A suspect was arrested Tuesday in a fatal shooting that occurred last month in the Adams Morgan area of the District, D.C. police said.
They said Torain Devon Adams, 18, of Northwest Washington, was charged with first degree murder while armed in the death of Victor Chigoziri Mba-Jonas Jr., 20, of Laurel.
Mba-Jonas Jr. was found shot in the 2500 block of 17th Streeet NW at 2:30 a.m. June 27, police said. They said he died at a hospital July 19.
No details about the circumstances of the shooting were immediately available.
