Water main break closes Basilica
The Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception closed Tuesday at 10 a.m. due to a water main break. The Basilica, the largest church in North America, will reopen Wednesday at 7 a.m., and resume its regular operations and schedule of Masses, confessions, tours.
Classes at nearby Catholic University also were closed because of the water main break.
All university buildings except Pryzbyla Center and the Mullen Library are closed.
