UDC to open campus near Union Station
The University of the District of Columbia is preparing to open a campus near Union Station that would house the school's community college, the Washington Business Journal reports.
The new campus would be at 801 North Capitol St. NE and could open as soon as Aug. 1. According to terms of the lease, which must be approved by the D.C. Council, the school would pay $1.8 million in the first year, but rent would gradually rise to $3.8 million in 2027. The 121,000 space feet of space (about 88,000 of which is usable) includes offices, classrooms and a child-care center available to employees and to the children of UDC students.
