Vincent Orange loses a top aide

By Washington Post editors

Vincent Orange, candidate for D.C. Council chairman, has lost one of his top aides six weeks into his candidacy, the D.C. Wire reports.

Linda Greene, a former chief of staff to council member Marion Barry (D-Ward 8), signed on as Orange's spokeswoman last month. Greene wrote Monday that she was resigning because of her personal history with Orange's rival for the office, council member Kwame Brown (D-At Large).

Greene has known Brown since he was a child through his friendship with her son, Brett.

Visit D.C. Wire for more details.
