Woman dies after SW D.C. fire
UPDATE:
A 63-year-old woman died Tuesday morning after a late night fire at a senior apartment house in Southwest, authorities said.
D.C. Fire and EMS was called to a fire at the Greenleaf Senior Apartments on Delaware Avenue SW about 11:20 p.m. Monday. They found a woman in a fourth floor apartment with burns and suffering from smoke inhalation. The woman was taken to Washington Hospital Center where she later died, said fire department spokesman Pete Piringer.
The fire was contained to the apartment and no other injuries were reported.

A woman was reported in critical condition early Tuesday morning after a late night fire at an apartment house in Southwest, authorities said.
The fire was reported just before midnight in a building on Delaware Avenue SW, near M Street.
A spokesman for the DC fire and emergency services department said the fire appeared to be confined to a fourth floor apartment in a building that housed many senior citizens.
