Woman struck by vehicle in NW D.C.

A woman was hit by a vehicle Thursday night on Wisconsin Avenue in Northwest Washington, authorities said.

D.C. police were investigating the accident at Wisconsin Avenue and Jenifer Street, said Officer Paul Metcalf, a police spokesman. The woman was reportedly conscious and breathing after the 6:45 p.m. collision, and any injuries did not appear to be life threatening, he said.
