Mont. Co. school board approves budget
Montgomery County's Board of Education unanimously approved Superintendent Jerry D. Weast's proposed $2.2 billion budget Monday, The Gazette reports.
During budget discussions prior to Monday's meeting, board members asked 38 questions about line items and details in Weast's budget proposal, which grew by $42 million from his Dec. 15 budget proposal due to larger-than-expected increases in anticipated state funding.
County Executive Isiah Leggett (D) is slated to present his education funding proposal for the county March 15.
