Mount St. Mary's receives $250K donation
The charitable arm of PNC Financial Services Group says it's pledging a quarter-million dollars to support economics education at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg.
The Catholic school announced the gift Thursday from the Pittsburgh-based PNC Foundation.
It will provide program support and scholarships for students participating in the College Federal Reserve Challenge.
The challenge is a competition in which teams of undergraduate students make presentations about monetary policy to a panel of Federal Reserve economists.
