Fairfax nixes biotech center
Fairfax County officials have nixed plans to fund a massive medical research center that would have challenged Montgomery County's effort to become the region's biotech hub, the Examiner reports.
County leaders were considering up to $150 million in revenue bonds to fund the project but appear to have changed their mind after Inova Health System said it wasn't able to come up with the $25 million previously pledged for the center.
