Fire breaks out in SW apartment building
Fire broke out late Saturday afternoon on an upper-story balcony of an apartment house adjacent to the Southwest/Southeast Freeway, authorities said.
The fire was reported on a seventh-floor balcony of a building in the 100 block of G Street SW, the D.C. fire and emergency medical services department said. It was put out quickly and no injuries were reported, the department said.
The site is a little more than one half mile southwest of the Capitol.
