Four Md. families displaced by fire
Four families, including 16 adults and two infants, have been displaced from their homes after an early morning fire Thursday in Greenbelt, WJLA reported.
The fire broke out about 1:45 a.m. in the 7800 block of Jacobs Drive. In all, five townhouses were burned. Prince George's County fire officials said the flames began in the rear of one townhouse, then quickly spread to the roof and fanned out to four other neighboring homes -- one of which was empty and up for sale.
Officials say there were no sprinkler units inside any of the homes. The total damage is estimated at $200,000 per home.
