Gas line messes up Manassas traffic
Traffic in Manassas was disrupted Friday afternoon after construction workers broke open a 26-inch-diameter natural gas line, the Prince William County police said.
They said the main was ruptured about 3:30 p.m. near Sudley Road and Sudley Manor Drive, in the heart of a major commercial area..
Taffic was shut down on Sudley Manor from Ashton Avenue to Garner Rroad and on Sudley Road from Lomond Drive to Rosemary Drive.
Motorists were urged to choose alternate routes and avoid the area, which is about one mile south of Interstate 66, and the Manassas National Battlefield Park.

Does anyone know why the police and fire left all the yellow tape at every corner? I drove past yesterday (sunday) and it was all over the ground and poles.
