Glenn Beck to give Va. graduation speech
Jerry Falwell Jr., chancellor of Liberty University, announced Friday that Fox News commentator Glenn Beck, will deliver the commencement address at the Lynchburg campus’s May 15 graduation, the News & Advance reports.
“Beck is one of the few courageous voices in the national media standing up for the principles upon which this nation was founded,” Falwell said in a news release.
The baccalaureate address will be delivered by Paige Patterson, the eighth president of the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, according to the news release.
Falwell called Patterson one of the “patriarchs of Christian higher education” and said both speakers “continue Liberty’s long tradition of commencement speakers who are making a positive impact on society in all walks of life.”

I hope that Beck addresses that creationist thing about the Earth being no more than 3000 years old and dinosaurs on Noahs Ark. Just saying, because whenever I hear that, like Beck, I laugh and cry at same time.

It's a perfect fit. They think Beck is a journalist, and Beck thinks they are educators.

Every time I read something like this it reminds me of a cartoon - not politically correct but, oh, so funny -
"Too many 'Christians' - too few lions".

Liberty U. students not protesting the indignity of Falwell's choice on one of the more important days of their lives should provide potential employers all they need to know about the level of education provided by this faux university.

what college would even allow this nut case on campus? Pity the world onto which graduates of this madrassa are set loose. I would not hire anyone who "graduated" from such a school. If there are any doubts, take note of the new Gov of VA who is from Pat Robertson"s "college"....nut cases one and all....including Beck

Beck must have gotten special permission to be let out of his padded cell. Let's hope he decides to go on a bender, which he does sometimes, and spews some choice expletives at the gathered sheep.
Why does Liberty University hate freedom?

I hope they preface his remarks with the fact that Beck is brain damanged from his years of alcoholism and drug taking. I feel sorry for these kids a "Liberty" U. where there is no liberty just perverse dogma. Not only is their education slanted to harm them for life, but they have to face the indignity of having this alcoholic as their guest speaker. Couldn't they have just played one of fat Falwell screeds?

What??? They didn't want John Stewart? Bill Clinton? LOL. It's OK, Glenn Beck is as close to Jesus as Fallwell Jr. could get.
