By Washington Post editors

(Updated 6:30 p.m.)
A 34-year-old Herndon man has been arrested after his wife's body was found stuffed inside a suitcase on the balcony of their apartment.

Herndon police said the body of the 36-year-old woman was found Friday at the couple's apartment in the 700 block of Tamarack Way.

Jamie Aaron Kuhne showed up at police headquarters Friday with a note saying he had killed his wife, police said. He was charged with murder and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

The woman's body has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death. Her identity is being withheld until relatives can be notified.

Police said the couple has a 1-year-old son.
