Laurel man charged in rape of girl, 10
Frederick police have charged a Laurel man with rape, sex abuse and assault in a case involving a 10-year-old girl, the Frederick News-Post is reporting.
Police are holding Jose M. Vasquez-Hernandez, 27, after a witness reported the alleged assault in mid-October, the newspaper said. Vasquez-Hernandez denied the charge, saying the witness was trying to frame him.
The child was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital to be examined and police interviewed the girl, according to the newspaper. As of Friday evening, Vasquez-Hernandez was being held without bail.

Yes, he is:
"The complainant [i.e. witness] told police Thursday [10/21] that Vasquez-Hernandez was a legal resident of the United States but believed he had packed his bags and was preparing to return to El Salvador."

That would have been disastrous; many "bi-national" predators escape justice that very way. Kudos to the Frederick P.D. for nabbing this scumbag. The witness also deserves special thanks for coming forward, as does this brave child for telling her story.

We need to up the ante. You are here legally and commit a crime (not talking parking tickets here) then you go. No second chances. You are convicted, you are GONE. You lose that resident status and you are deported. If you have become a US citizen, same thing. We have to get tougher on both legal and illegal immigrants.

Since 1996, with the exception of deporting people who have actually become citizens, that is ALREADY THE LAW.
It's been to the Supreme Court and passed judicial review. Any degree of assault by a non-citizen on a citizen immediately and mandatorily results in summary deportation, no hearing required. Got convicted? Get shipped out.
