Laurel man killed after car hits tree
Howard County police report that a 37-year-old Laurel man was killed last night after his car struck a tree.
At about 9 p.m. Wednesday night, Kevin Michael Aldridge was driving a Volkwagen Jetta eastbound on Gorman Road, east of Murray Hill Road when it traveled off the right side of the roadway and hit a tree, officials said. Aldridge was taken to Greater Laurel Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
