Hot enough for ya?

After a brief hiatus, we're back with more from the D.C. area blogosphere.

The Fourth of July may have been a holiday for many of us, but as folks in the blogging world know: there are no holidays. Many of our favorite bloggers were busy posting away.

In honor of our record breaking heatwave (forecasters said the mercury hit 100 before noon!) -- we've got some heat related posts.

New Columbia Heights reports there’s a new mister machine at Wonderland.

Beyond Bread urges folks to look out for those who might be especially vulnerable to the heat, as well as a tip sheet on how to stay cool during hot weather.

JDLand recommends we think cool thoughts during this heat wave and offers a few February photos to help.

DC Urban Turf profiles what it calls D.C.’s “sleeper neighborhood,” 16th Street Heights, NW.

Finally, we know it's going to be more expensive to finance that crab feast this year, nevertheless we still love the crusty crustacean. Metrocurean offers us this handy guide: five spots to crack crabs. Mmmm.

Thanks for reading. Know of a great blog we should be reading? Post your suggestions below or send me an email: aratanil@washpost.com
