Feeling better today?

It's cooler -- or so the weather folks say. Even so, we couldn't resist highlighting another heat-related post. We've also got tech tools for non-techies (yes, there is such a thing.) Read on!

We couldn’t resist this post from the Daily Green (via UrbanTrekker): 8 ways to keep cool without air conditioning. Might want to keep this around for the next heat wave.

From the Commuter Page blog: Arlington unveils possible locations for its bike sharing program, Capital Bikeshare, which is set to debut in September.

As long as we’re talking two-wheeled transportation, the Ode Street Tribune has some shots of Rosslyn’s new bike racks. Very artsy.

ARL.now ponders the identity of vandals who are leaving math-themed graffiti along the W&OD trail.

If you don’t know a monitor from a mouse, a hard drive from a hard hat, Susie, from Susie’s Budget and Policy Corner offers tech tools for the non-techie. Impress your IT department by learning Inkscape!

That's it for today. Back tomorrow with more fab blog posts from the D.C. area blogosphere. Want to receive your 5 fab blog posts via Twitter? Click here. Have a great day. And send us your suggestions for can't-miss blogs in the D.C. region.
