Man falls onto Metro tracks at Gallery Place
A man described as elderly fell onto the tracks at the Gallery Place Metrorail station Friday night but was pulled to safety, authorities said. The man fell from the platform onto the Red Line tracks about 8:15 p.m., Metro said.
Authorities said others on the platform helped him back onto the platform before a train could arrive. He was taken to George Washington University Hospital.
The man was conscious, but other details of his condition could not be learned immediately.
