By Eric Athas

A man was found dead last night at the rear of a house in the Adams Morgan section of Northwest Washington, and police were investigating the cause.

The man, who was described as middle aged, was found about 6:30 p.m. on a deck or similar structure behind a house in the 2300 block of17th Street, authorities said. The man’s name was not released.

No cause of death was known immediately, but an autopsy was to be conducted.

R.I.P. Marion Barry

This murder appears to be at the same place Karen Hawkins was murdered many years ago; that case is an unsolved cold case although I understand the police have a suspect, just not the proof. The street is unfortunately a magnate for drugs and muggings as well, even though I see police in the area all the time. Never walk down 17th street in Adams Morgan unless you are looking to get mugged (or worse).

OhTheHumanity

Be careful what you wish for. How many presidents have Castro outlived? You may be fit and healthy, that does not mean you will outlive Barry. It is a good thing whether one lives or die does not rest with you. As I said be careful what you wish for.

OhtheHumanity: Humanity is not something you appear to be blessed with, in order to say such a thing about another human being, no matter what you think of them.

Do you have a father, a grandfather, an older brother, a middle aged son? What if someone made such a callous and inhumane statement if God forbid they happened to meed their demise?

Think before you speak.(write)

You people *really* need to get a grip. Lighten up ... laugh a little ... it was a joke.

And if you seriously are defending Marion Barry I question your critical judgement skills. Who gives 2 chits what you think.
