Man shot and killed in Southeast
A D.C. man was shot and killed Saturday near his home in Southeast, authorities said. Just before 9 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of Parkland Place SE to investigate a shooting. Police found 20-year-old Marquis Wade, who lived in the same block, lying on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound, authorities said.
He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said. Police declined to release information about suspects or motive.
