Man shot and killed in Southeast

By Washington Post Editors

A D.C. man was shot and killed Saturday near his home in Southeast, authorities said. Just before 9 p.m., officers were called to the 300 block of Parkland Place SE to investigate a shooting. Police found 20-year-old Marquis Wade, who lived in the same block, lying on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound, authorities said.

He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, authorities said. Police declined to release information about suspects or motive.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
