Man shot after party in Potomac
A 22-year-old man was shot in the Potomac section of Montgomery County after a dispute at a party, county police said.
Police said the incident occurred about 2:30 a.m. in the 7600 block of Heatherton Lane. They said the man was hit in the arm and taken to a hospital.
According to police, the victim left a party on Heatherton with friends after a dispute broke out. In the street, the victim and his friends were approached by another group. Police said it was believed that members of the other group had been involved in the dispute at the party.
Words were exchanged and someone threw a bottle, the police said. Shots were then fired, and the victim realized that he had been wounded, police said.
Heatherton is a street of attached houses about a quarter mile northeast of the Tuckerman Lane Seven Locks Road intersection.
Police said they are looking for information about the matter.

Very true... about it not being Potomac... it is the farthest East of Rockville... it is about 3 -4 miles before Potomac (when you pass Bullis).. then you start making your way into Potomac.. still, what the hell is wrong with these kids today.

Where on your body is the Potomac section of Montgomery County?

I think the shift in locations is politicized map-making. "No, that's not East Rockville, it's Potomac." "No, that's not NE DC, that's NW DC." Hasn't Adams Morgan become Woodley Park? Isn't SE Capitol Hill? Hasn't Silver Spring become Tacoma Park?

Man shot after party in Potomac
A 22-year-old man was shot in the Potomac section of Montgomery County after a dispute at a party, county police said.
*******************************************
First, when a crime happens in PG County, the Wash Post writes it as:
"Man shot after party in Prince Georges County" ...
A 22-year-old man was shot in Suitland ...
There's no Potomac SECTION of Montgomery County. Potomac IS IN Montgomery County, and the Post doesn't report other SECTIONS of counties like the Suitland SECTION of PG.
Then why this time? Fact is, a shooting occurred in Potomac and in Montgomery County. Drama happened last week in Downtown Silver Spring. xyit happens.

It is also unique that they mention this was in a section with "attached" houses. So this was a town house section? Was this a part with the very few low income areas of Potomac?
