Man shot near Springfield hotel
A man was shot and critically wounded Saturday night near a hotel in the Springfield area of Fairfax County, the police said.
The man was found about 9:45 p.m. in a parking lot of a hotel in the 6700 block of Commerce Street, according to police.
He was taken to a hospital with wounds described as life-threatening.
Authorities were trying to determine whether he had been shot where he was found or whether he had been brought there.
