Man shot at doughnut store's drive-thru
A man working at a doughnut store in Anne Arundel County was shot and wounded Friday when he closed the drive-thru window on an armed robber, county police said.
They said the 48-year-old store clerk was behind the window of a Dunkin’ Donuts store in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road in Odenton when the robber drove up.
The robber showed a shotgun and demanded money, police said. The clerk shut the window and the robber fired through it, police said, wounding the clerk. He was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition, police said. They said the robber, described as a 25- to 30-year-old black man man with a goatee, short hair and a red hat, fled east in a dark green or blue vehicle.
